Excited to say that, alongside some good friends, Treaphort is hittin' the road in September!
We've got tour dates in Southern Colorado and a few spots in New Mexico :-0
And, also, the computer I have been using for the past 5 years was goin' downhill fassssst, so I reached out for an upgrade!
I am so grateful for feel the support of my amazing family in this journey of life and update of my Creation Station.
May all the sound and art produced on this magick machine aid in my sustainability and the speedy repayment of their generosity!
Sending Love & Light to the ether for this dream unfolding. . .
I guess now is the time for me to get back in to my power schedule. . It has proven difficult for me to awaken long after sunrise and still feel the drive to connect to Source through breathing, yoga, toning and meditation.
The most difficult part will be controlling the sleep schedule (early rising = early setting) and maintaining discipline.
So my desired schedule is:
*4am - rise, drink water, shower
*4:30am - yoga
*5am - toning
*5:30am - breath work
*6am - meditation
*6:30am - set intentions and goals for the day
*7am - breakfast
*8am - open/free/work time
*11:30am - yoga
*12pm - knee strengthening
*12:30pm - lunch
*1:30pm - open/free/work time
*5:30pm - breathing
*5:45pm - meditation
*6:30pm - dinner
*8pm - open/free time
*9:30pm - reading
*10pm - sleep
This is NOT going to be easy!
I very much enjoy using my days to go with the flow and see what happens, with no tight schedule.
But I am trying to level up!
Maintaining Power and Connection to Source is necessary to fulfill my goals, I feel.
Previously I have been able to hold a schedule such as this for months at a time and have felt deeply incredible (on sooooo many levels) in doing so.
What I am trying to do is expand my sense of Self to fully embody these aspects which I feel are positive and beneficial for me. I am doing this to help maintain and boost physical and spiritual awareness, health, strength and resilience.
The development my various projects are directly linked to the cultivation of a continuous connection with and exploration of Source Energy, the original vibration.
I Love and Respect All Life on All Levels and AM Becoming Realized
We Are Who We Are
I am learning again who it is that I am.
Why I choose to be vegetarian; how important breathing, yoga and meditation are to me; what I would like to do to contribute to society; how much I love sound and music; how much we all need quality sound and music; where I come from, how I love my family and those who are closest to me; the special people who have helped me along the path, supporting me; what I get excited about; where I have room to grow and let go. .
I choose to no longer hide mySelf. It is my desire to share all aspects of my being.
I am not ashamed of who I am, the choices I have made, or the lessons I have learned.
I am not afraid to show the world my talents! I am open to rejection, acceptance, and all opportunities to learn and grow.
I am realizing how much we are affected by our surroundings and interactions. By taking this recent and current time to find mySelf I am re-learning and embracing who I am, and who I wish to be.
Be Strong and Confident
The first step is defining what it is that we desire in life, those things that we like, dislike, where we are currently, and where we wish to be. Describing our goals and values in life and sticking by them, knowing that they are part of what makes us who we are.
If we find it difficult have confidence in ourselves and our choices, maybe it is time for some change.
It is easy to have confidence in things you truly believe in.
Strength comes from living close to the goals, ideals, and values throughout the pressures of daily life.
So Here I Am
Having been presented this time and opportunity to practice ethics and find my true beliefs, I am grateful to present to the world myself as I am.
With strength and confidence I am working toward my goals in life, keeping my values close to the core of my being.
I am open to learning and free to change, but deeply rooted and living in my heart.
I am sitting here in a makeshift bedroom studio thinking about my current position in life and about the next move I should make. (currently listening the the recently released LostInSound mixtape Summer V/A Compilation 2013 which is rockin the system nicely :-) Desirée has just left (after missing her flight yesterday :P ). We've just finished recording the vocals for the new Floating Cloud Radio EP of Slölei which I plan to master up with the tracks during the upcoming days.
After playing a few very nice festivals in MT and a couple local shows this summer my lease has ended and now I have had to move in to my parents house (at least temporarily) due to not having enough dough to continue living on my own :-/ . They are not to happy about it, but I think they are enjoying my company. Niki has been enjoying the new scenery.
I have been coaching gymnastics in the morning which has been fun, and due to the lack of funds I am going to start taking up extra hours working afternoons/evenings a few days a week. I am feeling a HUGE drive to begin pushing the music production/performance in a more responsible manner, and to start reaching out to begin playing more shows and events.
Due to my financial situation over the past 3 years or so there is a decent amount of debt to settle, including a student loan, various credit cards, store cards and a personal loan. All these things equate to the approximate rental cost of a place to live.
It seems very beneficial to me to continue staying at my parents place 'til I have my debts under control and a small cushion saved up for living expenses, but I'm not sure they will allow it.
Another living possibility right now is the offer that I have received from BusToShow to begin hosting a once a week group meditation and poetry reading around Boulder, on a bus. They have said it would be possible for me to live on the bus that would be provided, and that my first step is getting a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Right now I am going to take some time to clearly define my goals for the next five or so years, and the steps that need to be taken to achieve them.
Part of the goals will surely incorporate more interaction on the Blog, Facebook, and other social media sites that I have fallen off of. (apparently they are great tools to be using to help springboard a national and international career in the music industry, and I should be making better use of them) So expect to be hearing a lot more from me about what's happening in and around the studio and with developments of CommunityArtShare, among other things.
